Wu Assassins

This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the action-drama series, Wu Assassins. This show ran in 2019. There are ten episodes for one season. Each episode has a running time of 44 minutes. This series is rated TV-MA for the following reasons: moderate violence & gore, moderate profanity, mild alcohol/drugs/smoking, and mild frightening & intense. Starring in this show are Iko Uwais, Byron Mann, and Li Jun Li. The following plot overview is provided from IMDB: A warrior chosen as the latest and last Wu assassin must search for the powers of an ancient triad and restore balance in San Francisco’s Chinatown.

I enjoyed this series. I was hesitant going into this series as action-heavy things tend to lack sufficient plot in my eyes. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the story of this series. The only thing that makes me not give it more stars is that there is not a ton to really dig into. I wish there had been more to this series, so I could see where the story was going. However, with what was provided, I liked it and would recommend it to others who enjoy things in the action genre.

I give this series 3 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the Doe Network profile of Donald Stofko Jr. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature I am reviewing the comedy series, Mr. Iglesias. Until then keep binge-watching the episodes; Nerd out!
