Proof of Love by Chisa Hutchinson

This week for the Fiction Friday feature, I am reviewing the Audible Original, Proof of Love by Chisa Hutchinson. This audio work was released in July 2019. It is 1 hour & 6 minutes in length and performed by Brenda Pressley. The following overview is provided from Audible: Constance thought she had a happy life and a loving husband. Suddenly, a tragic accident splinters her upper-class black family—and forces Constance to face uncomfortable truths about her marriage and herself.

This was a short but powerful story and performance. I made assumptions as information was revealed only to find out that the story was not going to go that way. This story was beautifully written and so emotionally charged that I caught myself crying as I listened along. I highly recommend this to everyone. It really is *chef’s kiss*.

I give this audio work 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Donna Johnson. Next week for the Fiction Friday feature, I am reviewing the horror novel, It by Stephen King. Until then keep reading on; Nerd out!
