This week for the Fiction Friday feature, I am reviewing the fantasy novel, The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King. This novel was originally published in 1984 by Viking with a page count of 326 pages. The audiobook is 10 hours & 23 minutes in length and read by Bronson Pinchot. This novel is a lot lighter in tone than any of the previous works that King had released. I enjoyed his take on the fantasy genre. There were parts that felt a little too slow for me for the tone of the novel. But I liked it and recommend this to anyone who is looking for a King novel to read that is lighter in tone and theme. I am curious if King has ever done a fantasy/horror hybrid. If he has, please send me a message with the name of it so I can highlight it in my schedule. I can say the thing I love the most about reading a Stephen King story is the character development. I have never come across a character that felt flat.
I give this novel 4.5 stars.
