Sense8

This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the Sci-fi dramatic mystery series, Sense8. This show ran from 2015-2018. This series is rated TV-MA for the following reasons: severe sex & nudity, moderate violence & gore, moderate profanity, moderate alcohol/drugs/smoking, and moderately frightening & intense scenes. There are 2 seasons for a total of 24 episodes. Each episode has a running time of approximately 52 minutes. Starring in this series are Bae Doona, Jamie Clayton, and Tina Desai. The following overview is provided from IMDB: A group of people around the world are suddenly linked mentally and must find a way to survive being hunted by those who see them as a threat to the world’s order.

I cannot rave about this show enough. Not only is the premise of this show amazing, but the casting is so good. I love each and every one of the main characters. Another thing I love is all the cinematography. There are some amazing shots of the various cities this shows. My only complaint about this show is that I wish there was more of it. This show has the representation of all kinds in it, and I am here for every minute of it. There is so much to love about this show. It is unabashedly unique and ahead of its time. I highly highly recommend this show. There are so many characters from different walks of life that have to navigate coming together with different people for the same goal. If only society could be more like this group of characters.

I give this show 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the Doe Network profile of TBD. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the Sci-fi action-adventure series, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Until then keep binge-watching the episodes; Nerd out!
