This week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the Doe Network Profile of Megan Renee Foglesong. Megan is classified as an endangered missing person. She was last seen on December 1st, 2015 in Alden, Kansas. Megan was born on January 20, 1994, and was 21 years old when she went missing. She is described as a white female, 5’5”, 150lbs, with dark blonde hair and green eyes. Megan has her ears, tongue, and belly button pierced, a long scar on her right thigh from a childhood injury, as well as the following tattoos: an infinity sign on her upper right chest, a flower on her left hip, a dream catcher down the side of her left calf, and a heart design on her right wrist with the words “thick thin”.
The only possible known article of personal effects that Megan would have been wearing was an infinity necklace that she wore often. Prior to Megan disappearing, she had expressed that if she disappeared her boyfriend would be responsible for it. The police had spoken with him and he claims she left after they had an argument. However, no further information can be gained from the boyfriend due to an incident in April 2019 with police that led to a six-hour standoff that ended when the boyfriend was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The last tracable activity from Megan was on November 30th, 2015. A friend reported receiving a text of “I’m fine” from Megan’s number on December 7th, 2015 but did not know if that was from Megan herself. By the time a missing person’s report was taken the cellular provider for Megan’s phone did not keep records for longer than 10 days, so police were not able to obtain any information from them.
