Medical Mysteries

This week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the medical podcast, Medical Mysteries. This podcast debuted in July 2019; it last updated in December 2020 and can be found exclusively on Spotify. There are 77 episodes available to listen to. The following overview was provided from the Spotify page: We trust doctors with our lives; they are some of the most educated and well-respected members of society. But what happens if they can’t diagnose a patient? This high stake medical procedural follows patients as they suffer from bizarre, often terrifying illnesses. None of which doctors learned about in medical school. Medical Mysteries is a Parcast Original, with new episodes every Tuesday.

This podcast was a fascinating look at what happens when a person is experiencing a medical issue that has not been seen before. Or if it has so few documented cases exist for doctors to know how to best treat the issue. I feel for each of the people that had to go through all those tests and possibly feel like a lab rat, just to find out what is going on with their bodies. I knew about some of the medical issues talked about in this podcast, some I had heard of but did not know much about, and then there were some I had never heard of before. If you enjoy learning about medical conditions this podcast is for you.

I give this podcast 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the fantasy horror film, Sleepy Hollow. Next week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the law podcast, Guilty. Until then keep listening on; Nerd out!
