The True Crime Enthusiast

This week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the true crime podcast, The True Crime Enthusiast. This podcast debuted in September 2017 and comes with an explicit language warning. There were 120 episodes available at the time of writing on Apple Podcasts. The following description is provided from the Apple Podcast page: Welcome to The True Crime Enthusiast Podcast, which started off life as a weekly written blog in 2016, and has now made the jump into a weekly one man and his mic, matter of fact straight talking podcast. In it, the host Paul looks at and recounts in-depth true crime cases from the UK and Ireland – solved or unsolved crimes, but more often than not the lesser known and obscure ones.

I am so happy that I found this podcast since it focuses on cases in the UK and Ireland. I love the fact that the cases covered are the more obscure cases. I cannot tell you how much I love it when there are cases I have not heard being covered on a podcast. Not going to lie, I also love Paul’s accent. Paul does a wonderful job of treating the victims with respect and railing against the deplorable monsters that commit the crimes. I love Paul’s commentary about the issues he sees with the justice system there. You can tell that Paul has a passion for true crime when he does each episode. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone looking for a podcast that covers UK and Ireland crime.

I give this podcast 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama, Mississippi Grind. Next week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the history podcast, Assassinations. Until then keep listening on; Nerd out!
