This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I’m reviewing the crime drama, Ozark. This show debuted in 2017 and is rated TV-MA. Episodes have a running time of 1 hour. There are currently 3 seasons with a total of 30 episodes. Starring in this series are Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, and Julia Garner. The following plot summary is provided from IMDB: A financial adviser drags his family from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must launder money to appease a drug boss.
This show is intense, and I can’t wait for the next season. I don’t think there could have been better casting done. My favorite people are Ruth and Buddy. I enjoy the slow reveal that we get with the characters’ stories. It’s just enough to keep you asking questions and wondering what’s next. When you’re watching that red flag that goes off when you meet Darlene is for a good reason. I loathed Cade from the start, and he showed me that I was right to feel that way. I can’t rave about this show enough. I recommend this show to anyone who likes crime dramas.
I give this show 4.5 out of 5 stars.
