This week for TV Tuesday, I’m reviewing the Netflix original Paranoid. The show only lasted one season consisting of eight episodes. The main plot of the show follows the investigation of a woman murdered on a playground. The investigation quickly uncovers twists and turns as well as a potential conspiracy theory.
I enjoyed the show for the most part. I was a little peeved that the major subplot for the main character, Nina Suresh, had to do with her love life. Why does this always have to be the case with female lead characters? Couldn’t she have a stalker that she was dealing with instead? That was my only issue with the show.
The lead actress I recognized from Game of Thrones. Now that was a character plot I was down for. If there were more episodes, I would give more opinions on the case they were investigating. However, in eight episodes we had only scratched the surface of the cases.
I give this show 2.5 out of 5 stars.
