I am going to be honest with all over you. I don’t know what got into me this past holiday season, but I was into watching any and all cheesy holiday movies that Netflix wanted to shove in my face. However, that rabbit hole trip was short trip and I came out with a few good watches and one absolute regret.
Christmas Inheritance was the holiday movie that won the season for me. It was the right amount of cheese for me to enjoy the movie. Over this summer my husband and I got into the show The 100 on Netflix. The lead in the show who I only know by her character’s name Clark, is in the movie. She was the selling point for me to watch the movie and I wasn’t disappointed. This movie had the right amount of warmth and wasn’t as centered on family as most of the others were. I don’t have the greatest history or relationship with any of my family. Most of those I consider family are friends that have become members of my family.
I appreciated that this story was based around a holiday tradition started by to friends that were business partners. While it was more about the daughter of one business partner learning a thing or two as well as maturing, it was the sentiment I needed to hear this holiday season. I have had to make a lot of hard but necessary decisions when it came to family and such this holiday season. It was nice to be reminded that friends can be a part of all the milestones you wish your family could be there for. Those that are there, that truly care, will share in all your joy, triumphs, struggles and normal days. As I stated before this movie was definitely holiday cheesy but it was the right amount of cheese for me.
I give this a 3 out of 5 stars.
