The Mystery of Alice by Lee Bacon

This week for the Fiction Friday feature, I am reviewing the Audible Original, The Mystery of Alice by Lee Bacon. This audio work was released in May 2019. It is 6 hours & 24 minutes in length and is of the young adult mystery genre. The voice talent for this piece is Bryan Kennedy, Jessica Almasy, Josh Hurley, Cassandra Morris, Libby McKnight, Emily Bauer, and Michael Crouch. The following overview is provided from Audible: Thirteen-year-old Emily Poe has been given the opportunity of a lifetime: a chance to attend the exclusive Audyn School in Manhattan. But to win the scholarship, she has to pass a test like nothing she’s ever experienced before: a nearly bare room, a set of strange clues, a locked door. Plus, a mysterious organization—the Leopold Foundation—is watching her every move. But the real test has just begun. Despite the strange circumstances—in a new house, at a new school—Emily instantly bonds with fellow scholarship winner Alice Wray. And then Alice goes missing. Chronicling every surprising twist and turn of her search through her own private video dairy, Emily sets out to find the truth behind Alice’s disappearance. Soon, she’s drawn deep into the inner circle of the Audyn School’s elite, the Nobility, who each have secrets of their own. As clues and lies mount, Emily must sort truth from fiction to solve The Mystery of Alice before it’s too late.

I need a sequel for this as soon as possible. This audio work was amazing. I loved the characters, there was just enough information to make everything seem so real. I have to know the truth. What is the answer? Where is the answer? Who is the answer? I have so many questions and theories. Please if you love mysteries check this one out and talk with me about it. I could not get enough and relistened to it a few times already.

I give this Audible Original 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the Charley Project profile of Tre Boswell. Next week for the Fiction Friday feature, I am reviewing the horror novel, Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King. Until then keep reading on; Nerd out!
