The Last Dance

This week for the TV Tuesday, I am reviewing the documentary series, The Last Dance. This show ran in 2020. This series is rated TV-MA for the following reasons: moderate profanity, and mild alcohol/drugs/smoking. This show has 1 season for a total of 10 episodes. The episodes have a running time of 50 minutes. Starring in this series are Phil Jackson, Michael Jordan, and David Aldridge. The following plot overview is provided from IMDB: Charting the rise of the 1990’s Chicago Bulls, led by Michael Jordan, one of the most notable dynasties in sports history.

As someone who grew up in the suburbs outside of Chicago at this time period, this was a walk down memory lane. Plus, I was young when they went for their second three-peat and did not know about all the behind-the-scenes stuff, it really gave me a new appreciation for the players. I had so many emotions watching this series. However, the nostalgia was my favorite part. It was amazing to experience it the first time around but to look back and feel it all over again gave me chills. I had a lot of respect for Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Jackson, and all the members of the Bulls organization growing up. I have even more respect for the players and Phil Jackson. They made magic and it was so cool to get to live through and I loved sharing this with my kids. If you want to learn about one of the greatest sports dynasties ever, you need to watch this series.

I give this show 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the Doe Network profile of Mark Charles Burleigh. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the game show series, Floor is Lava. Until then keep binge-watching the episodes; Nerd out!
