The Bleeding Edge

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the documentary film, The Bleeding Edge. This movie was released in 2018 and has a running time of 1 hour & 38 minutes. The film is rated TV-MA, but I was unable to find a breakdown for the rating. Starring in this movie are Robert Bridges, Angie Firmalino, and Rita Redberg. The following overview is provided from IMDB: A look at the unforeseen consequences of advanced technological devices used in the medical field.

This film was both fascinating and terrifying at the same time. I do not think there is a better film that I have seen recently that shows the need for reforms when it comes to the US’s approval of medical devices. We need serious reforms in many areas to be completely honest. But to think of the shortcuts companies are allowed to take when it comes to things that are being put in a person’s body is atrocious. Plus, the way a company will gaslight someone into thinking that the issues they are experiencing have to be something else and not the device is reprehensible. I think everyone should watch this but I can understand where the subject matter may be a little too graphic for the viewer.

I give this film 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the crime documentary series, Dirty Money. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama, Mississippi Grind. Until then keep seizing the cinema; Nerd out!
