This week for the Movie Monday feature, I’m reviewing the action-drama film, Tag. This movie came out in 2015 and has a running time of 1 hour and 25 minutes. It is rated PG-13 for the following: severe violence &gore, and moderate frightening/intense scenes. The following plot overview is provided from IMDB: A girl’s life cascades into chaos as everyone around her suffers a gruesome fate while she becomes less certain of who she is and her once-once normal.
I loved this movie. I loved the complex storytelling. The audience is easily confused with the main character as the story begins its complex path. However, soon the audience can shift along with the story without any confusion. While I was stuck reading subtitles on this Japanese film, it was worth it. I didn’t want to stop once I understood what was happening. It held my attention and I genuinely connected to the main character. If you’re into foreign films, you should check this one out.
I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.
