Star Trek: Voyager

This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the sci-fi adventure series, Star Trek: Voyager. This show ran from 1995 to 2001. It is rated TV-PG for the following reasons: mild violence & gore, mild alcohol/drugs/smoking, and moderately frightening & intense scenes. There are 7 seasons for a total of 170 episodes. Each episode has a running time of 44 minutes. Starring in this series are Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, and Roxann Dawson. The following plot overview is provided from IMDB: Pulled to the far side of the galaxy, where the Federation is seventy-five years away at maximum warp speed, a Starfleet ship must cooperate with Maquis rebels to find a way home.

All Trekkies have a Trek and this one is mine. I love this series. This was the first time I had watched the series from beginning to end since I was a child. I have caught random reruns here and there but never did a true rewatch. My favorite character in the series is Seven of Nine, I get glued to the TV when she is on it. Tuvok is my other favorite, how can you not love the Vulcans? Tuvok is on the show from the beginning while Seven of Nine does not appear until the third season finale. I sometimes find Neelix to be a bit too much for me, but I like the balance he brings when the other characters are so serious. I do not what exactly about this Trek is the thing that makes me love it the most. I like the dynamic of the members of the crew, I like how some members were not a part of the Federation but ended up as family in the end. I loved how they wrapped the show up. Picard may be my favorite captain, but Voyager is my favorite Trek. As a wonderful lady named Taryn told me, there is the right way, the wrong way, and the Janeway. LOL! Yes, I know total nerd, and I am proud of it. I highly recommend anyone who likes Sci-fi or action-adventure shows should check this one out.

I give this series 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the Doe Network profile of Faith Ann Marie Nicole King-Basey. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the crime documentary series, Dirty Money. Until then keep binge-watching the episodes; Nerd out!
