Missing: Terry Bernard Smith

This week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the Doe Network profile of Terry Bernard Smith. Terry is classified as an endangered missing person. He was last seen on June 6, 2019, in Riverdale, Georgia. Terry was born on October 2, 1971, and was 47 years old when he disappeared. He is described as a black male, 5’11”, 170 lbs., with short black hair, and brown eyes. Please note that Terry is mute, meaning he does not speak. He has also been diagnosed with schizophrenia which is not medicated.

Terry was reported missing from his group home on June 14, 2019. The director indicated that they did not report him missing sooner due to his history of wandering away and returning sometime later. Terry had been missing for 9 days when reported and no one had seen him leave, so there were no appearance details available. He does not have any known family in the area. If you have any information on Terry please contact Captain David Ricks of the Clayton County Police Department by phone (770) 477-3786 or email [email protected]. Please make sure you reference case number #19031249.

Tomorrow for the Writing Thursday feature, I am continuing the Personal History series. Next week for the True Crime Wednesday feature, I am recapping and breaking down episode two of the Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez documentary series on Netflix. Until then keep sleuthing the cases; Nerd out!
