Missing: Amber Marie Whitmer

This week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the Doe Network Profile of Amber Marie Whitmer. Amber is classified as an involuntary missing person. She was last seen on May 28, 2016, in Springfield, Ohio. Amber was born on May 6, 1986, and was 30 years old when she went missing. She is described as a white female, 5’4”, 150lbs, long brown hair that has been dyed red and normally worn in a ponytail or messy bun, and blue eyes. Amber has her ears pierced, and a scar from a former belly button piercing.

Amber was last wearing either white shorts or blue jeans with sparkles on the pockets, a tank top, Nike tennis shoes, and a light spring blue colored jacket. She was last seen by her mother in Springfield. Amber had been there to visit for her mother’s birthday. She routinely would touch base with her mom about every three months. However, after the visit, Amber’s mother never heard from her again. A local law enforcement officer who was familiar with Amber had seen her near Selma Road and York Street in Springfield. Amber does have a history of sex work. If you have any information on Amber or her disappearance, please contact Shelly Pilgrim of the Springfield Police Department at (937) 324-7685. Please make sure to reference case number 17-20544.

Tomorrow for the Writing Thursday feature, I am presenting an original scene. Next week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the Doe Network profile of Benedict Osita Igwe. Until then keep sleuthing the cases; Nerd out!
