This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the romantic comedy film, Desperados. This movie was released in July 2020 and has a running time of 1 hour & 45 minutes. This film is rated TV-MA and there was no further information provided on the rating. Starring in this movie are Nasim Pedrad, Anna Camp, and Lamorne Morris. The following plot overview is provided from IMDB: A panicked young woman, with her reluctant friends in tow, rushes to Mexico to try and delete a ranting email she sent to her new boyfriend.
This movie was hilarious. This is something that I could see my younger self doing if technology was what it was today when I was in my early 20s. There is also a level of crude humor that I enjoy even to this day as an adult, call me immature, but I don’t really care. I am so thankful that I am not in a place where I could overthink something as she did in this film. I am so much like the lead character that I have a new appreciation for people who have to date in this day and age. This film is funny, quirky, and great for a relaxing night.
I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.
Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the dramatic mystery series, Riverdale. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the documentary film, The Life and Death of Marsha P. Johnson. Until then keep seizing the cinema; Nerd out!
