Before I Fall

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the dramatic fantasy mystery film, Before I Fall. This movie was released in 2017, with a running time of 1 hour & 38 minutes. The film is rated PG-13 for the following reasons: mild sex & nudity, mild violence & gore, moderate profanity, mild alcohol/drugs/smoking, and mild frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Zoey Deutch, Halston Sage, and Cynthy Wu. The following overview is provided from IMDB: February 12th is just another day in Sam’s charmed life, until it turns out to be her last. Stuck reliving her last day over and over, Sam untangles the mystery around her death and discovers everything she’s losing.

This movie had me on an emotional rollercoaster. I loved the casting and look forward to watching more of Zoey Deutch. I will be watching this movie again when I need a reminder to live in the moment and not take things for granted. I think the thing I love about this movie the most is the cinematography. From angle to color to distance, this film is gorgeous. The music choices for the film fit well with the tone and theme of the movie.

I give this film 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the dramatic sci-fi mystery series, The 100. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the documentary film, Trixie Mattel: Moving Parts. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
