6 Underground

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I’m reviewing the action-adventure film, 6 Underground. This movie was released in 2019 and has a running time of 2 hours and 8 minutes. This film is rated R for moderate sex & nudity, severe violence & gore, severe profanity, mild alcohol/drugs/smoking, and severe frightening/intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Ryan Reynolds, Melanie Laurent, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. The following plot overview is provided from IMDB: Meet a new kind of action here. Six untraceable agents, totally off the grid. They’ve buried their pasts so they can change the future.

I loved this movie. I loved the action in this movie, I love the dialog, story, and casting. I don’t think there is one thing that I didn’t like about this movie. I am still waiting for Ryan Reynolds to put out a movie I don’t like. This is one of the few action movies that I enjoyed as much as my husband. Normally, I feel that action movies lack sufficient plot to keep me in the movie. They seem to rush from one action sequence to the next without a care for storytelling. This movie on the other hand never lacks in the storytelling. I also enjoy the concept of the movie, a group that becomes ghosts to do some insane tasks. Yeah, I’m here for this kind of movie. I also appreciated the more realistic action sequences in the movie (the use of dummies was the best). This film is recommended to anyone into action films.

I give this film 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I’m reviewing the comedic drama, Young & Hungry. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I’m reviewing the Biopic, The Danish Girl. Until then keep seizing the cinema; Nerd out!
